Consider what a blessing it is that you have the opportunity to vote. Freedom of the kind that we take as a matter of course should never be taken for granted.
Whatever your political views, I celebrate this occasion of having your opinion matter.
To Liberty and Hope, with prayers for those around the world who are not currently enjoying the same good fortune.

I couldn't agree more. Surely we can all find more things we have in common than things that we need to fight about.
And when we do disagree, why can't we disagree in an agreeable way. There's nothing wrong with conflicting opinions. From conflict comes energy and ideas and growth. But let's not confuse conflict with pettiness and personal attacks.

Wasn't it exciting??? I cried to during Obama's speech and just looking at his beautiful, hopeful family.
In so many ways, they're not very different from mine!
